“Superman outfit”

Sometimes I wonder how many Christians walk into church wearing their “Superman outfit” — full of faith, worship, smiles, and the right words.

But the moment they step back out into the real world, they quietly put their “Clark Kent costume” back on… blending in so well that no one would ever know they follow Christ.

And that’s a sad thought.

Because our faith was never meant to be something we only wear on Sunday.

It was meant to shape who we are every day.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Jesus didn’t call us to be secret disciples.

He called us to be light in dark places, salt in a broken world, and witnesses of His love wherever we go.

From the Balcony Beyond Time, God sees beyond our church attendance. He sees how we live when we leave the building.

Do people see Christ in our kindness?

Do they hear Him in our words?

Do they feel His love through our actions?

Do they notice something different about the way we live?

Faith should not disappear when the service ends.

This Saturday morning, may we be reminded that Christianity is not a costume we put on for church — it is a life we live for Christ.

When we walk out the doors, that’s when the sermon really begins.
